The Hale Theater in Gilbert, Arizona, is a family-owned Broadway theater with deep community roots. In 2017, AV3 Design Studio was hired as planner, architect, and space-maker to thoughtfully remodel and expand the facility. The theater is designed in harmony with the character of a 1920s hometown theater. The expansion added a concert venue, prop and costume workshops, an office loft, and provisions for a future sweet shop. Today, the Hale Theater serves as the Heritage District’s social and creative hub.
