In 2024, the 1960s Rolling Hills Golf Course in Tempe underwent a significant remodel. AV3 Design Co. was hired by Grass Clippings to design renovations to the pro shop (“grassy shop”), the restaurant Glenrosa, and a new driving range. This remodel was part of a broader initiative to enhance the entire property, which included installing lighting to make it the first illuminated night course in Arizona.
The buildings were transformed from their 1960s brutalist-modern design to reflect a more authentic Arizona agrarian architecture. The landscaping and lighting were designed to complement this farmstead aesthetic, setting this golf course clubhouse apart from the competition.
